McDonald's just recently launched their latest Chocolate Shamrock Shake along with its personalized drinking straw. The amazing drinking tool was made by aerospace and robotic engineers to optimize the sumptuousness of the refreshment.
According to Mashable, the "STRAW" or the Suction Tube for Reverse Axial Withdrawal, the actual name of the tool, looks a lot like an ordinary drinking straw. Although it was actually designed by Jace Design and NK Labs, companies specializing in technology engineering, with the perception of physics.
The two companies used fluid dynamics to create something out of ordinary just for the Chocolate Shamrock Shake. The "STRAW" surely leveled up the future of drinking straws with this amazing innovation.
In another report, Fastco Design also rounded interesting details about McDonald's latest revolutionary approach to their products. Accordingly, Google's Project Ara mobile and other NASA and DARPA projects were also spearheaded by Jace and NK Labs which made the "STRAW."
"One of our team members said, 'How about we change this? Instead of drinking the bottom up, we drink from the top down.' They drew a J-shaped straw," NK Labs Principal Engineer and Managing Partner Seth Newburg explains in the same report. The "STRAW" has officially launched its j-shape that works well due to amazing air suction and fluid dynamics.
The end of the drinking straw would get the shake then the two large holes will allow a stunning mix of the two layers. Actually, it sounds really easy but the "STRAW" definitely works with complicated ideas. McDonald's just got something clearly amazing from the aerospace engineering masters.
