"A Walk Through Gilded New York" App of Museum of the City of New York lets users go back in time. From Carnegie Hall to the Metropolitan Opera, all of the luxurious buildings is in the visual and audio tour.
According to the Lonely Planet, the app is actually a virtual guide tour. All the New York's fanciest people, places, and things during the "Gilded Age" is in it. It's narrated by Mr. Robot actress Grace Gummer.
"By taking this tour, users are walking not just in the footsteps of the period's wealthy, but in the steps of Gilded-age tourists," the Museum of the City of New York app's creator Jessica Lautin told in the report. "So in that sense, this tour is a 21st century, digital version of a 19th-century physical tour guide," she continued.

The museum app was supposedly an extension of the successful "Gilded New York" exhibition success. In the "A Walk Through Gilded New York," the same then-and-now photos of the place's extravagance is there.
Lastly, the app users will likewise experience time-traveling to Mark Twain's birthday, Metropolitan Opera opening night and J.P. Morgan's first use of electricity. The guided tour will supposedly deliver more than visual only. Learning history is definitely one of its features too.
