'Assassin’s Creed: Unity' Creative Director Says Game Will Be A New Start For Next-Gen Players

"Assassin's Creed: Unity" creative director Alex Amancio recently talked to Examiner about the upcoming game in an interview. During the interview, Amancio claimed that the next-gen game will be a new "narrative start."

"It's a new start, it's a new narrative start. That is symbolized by a completely new context for the present day," he said. "You've seen a little bit of an evolution with Black Flag, [but] we're not going to do the same thing. What we're doing with Unity is really the beginning [of] this new cycle of Assassin's Creed games."

Amancio also claimed that the game will be a great way for new players to jump into the franchise.

"Because it's new, we can actually explain it properly, because nobody is going to feel like it's redundant," Amancio said. "I would say that Assassin's Creed Unity is the best entry point for the franchise since [the first Assassin's Creed]."

The game hits PS4, Xbox One, and Windows PC on October 28.

PC gamers will be happy to hear that Ubisoft will attempt to release it's "Assassin's Creed: Unity" at the same time as it's release on next-gen consoles.

In an interview with Rock Paper Shotgun, Producer Lesley Phord-Toy mentioned that Ubisoft wanted to ship the games out simultaneously this go around.

"We're always aiming to ship all our games on all platforms at the same time," Phord-Toy said. "I don't have any specific news on the PC version of Assassin's Creed Unity, but I do know we're planning on shipping on all three [platforms]: Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. I haven't heard any news differently than that."

Phord-Toy also added that the company been successful in the past launching games on different consoles so she thinks it'll work again.

"Ubi has been very successful at achieving same-ship in the recent past, so we're very confident that we'll be able to do the same for Assassin's Creed Unity," she said.

Ubisoft released a three minute trailer for it's game "Assassin's Creed: Unity" at E3. The clip doesn't have a lot of gameplay footage but the clip is still a must see.

Ubisoft announced that the forthcoming game will have brand new feature coming with it. According to Time, the game developer revealed at E3 that the game will allow up to four players to play cooperatively for the first time ever.
