Instagram Releases New App Called Hyperlapse

Instagram's new app, Hyperlapse, gives users the ability to make time-lapse videos through the back-facing camera of your iPhone.

It will be a useful tool when trying to capture sceneries while driving or even condensing videos so that the average social media user could view it. It also has a stabilization feature so footage does not appear jittery when viewed by others.

The app is as simple as "point and shoot" - with the videos you produce added to your iPhone's camera roll. It goes without saying that the footage can be shared on Facebook and Instagram.

The app does not have instagram filters. The app is available exclusively for the iOS for now.

This application comes right after Instagram's update of new personalized photo-editing features, in June.

The app has sliders that let you control nine different photo effects and the intensity of its filters.

"People come to Instagram today to post their photos, but haven't come back to edit their photos" Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom reportedly said.

Systrom said that the recent update would give users the ability to edit with desktop like editing suites.

"The recent development creates a nice level playing field for the Instagram community," Systrom said.

The photographs can be rotated at any angle through a series of third-party editing apps.

Here are some key features:

Filter Strength: Choose a filter and adjust the strength of it. Also allows border.

Brightness: You can fix how bright or dark your photos become.

Warmth: Allows your photo to gain a warmer orange hue.

Vignette: Darken the edges of the photo and shifts attention away from edges to the center of the photo.
