Big Unit Randy Johnson Selling His Arizona Home for $25M

As of yesterday, former Yankee MLB pitcher has listed his Paradise Valley estate for $25 million. The 25,000 sq. ft. property rests on a 5-acre lot in Arizona, entailing 7 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms in the main residence alone.

According to Seattle Pi, the main home amenities are quite generous, with 24-foot ceilings in the living room, a 12-seat dining room with adjacent wine room, a chef's kitchen, his and her offices, a game room, wet bar, poker room, a 20-seat theater, ticket and snack booths, a recording studio and stage, a music instrument showroom, along with a three-car display garage. And to get around conveniently, the house includes a fire pole from the main level to the lower level and is equipped with an elevator as well.

"The layout works and feels comfortable without being overwhelming. The craftsmanship is impeccable, and the finish materials are some of the finest I've ever seen," says listing Agent Robert Joffe of Berkshire Hathaway's The Joffe Group.

As if the core structure wasn't enough, the property includes a two-bedroom guesthouse and fitness center full of high-end facility equipment, showers, and a locker room. Along those same lines, you can also find both a tennis court and "sport court," alongside a pool and spa, waterslide, bathhouse, kennel and exercise areas for animals with a "pet suite."

For the Arizona summer nights—and for entertaining—there is a covered patio with a wood-fired pizza oven and outdoor fire pit.

Johnson originally bought the home at $2.7 million and could possibly profit nearly 10 times what he had paid for it in 2003.
