The Falcon Luxury iPhone 6 Costs $48 Million

We really are living in a time of excess. And nothing demonstrates that better than Falcon, a company dedicated to designing and manufacturing luxury mobile devices. Oh, and they come with diamonds too.

That's right, Falcon, which has its headquarters in New York City (where else?) has armed itself with a team of top flight designers and artisans to help design their phones, which come adorned with premium metals, gemstones and materials.

The cheapest iPhone 6 you'll find on the site is the Alibaba Platinum Golden Topaz, which should only set you back $2 million. The price jumps to $4,250,000 with the gold emerald cut diamond. But that's still chump change compared to its flagship product: the SuperNova iPhone 6 Platinum Pink Diamond, priced at $48,500,000.

The stones are placed on the back on the phones, and come with standard Apple headphones. But should you want something a bit sleeker, you're in luck. The company offers its own line of custom-built accessories. You can get solid platinum, solid gold or solid rose gold headphones that go for $300,000 a piece.

The company describes itself as a luxury retailer that caters to an elite consumer market, like "celebrities, royalty and heads of state." Falcon also "uses rare metals including 24K gold and 950 platinum, collector grade precious gemstones and premium leathers, fabrics, and furs on Apple devices and accessories.

Only 100 items are made for each series, in order to "ensure the rarity and collectability of the device." It takes about 10-12 for custom-made devices to be completed and delivered.

But perhaps the most impressive feature relates to the phone's security. The company explains, "We have partnered with the world's most advanced privacy company to deliver secure communications that evade electronic surveillance, logging and collection of their voice, video and text transmissions."
