LG G6’s release is coming later this month and many are excited to know what the new model has in store for the consumers. Although LG has not released the official specs of the upcoming smartphone, rumors of its possible features are already circulating online. So this article will be all about comparing the new model to its predecessor.

In terms of design, the new LG smartphone is said to come with a glass, waterproof and metal solid body with curved corners which is almost similar to its last model, including the size, but with improvements. LG G5 comes with a 3.5 mm headphone, USB Type-C port, and a fingerprint sensor at the back which is also expected to be featured in G6. As for the display, G6 is expected to be better in many ways. From a better and ultra-wild aspect ratio of 18:9, 564ppi pixel density and a sharper display, it beats the G5 in many ways.

According to Pocket-Lint, there aren’t much rumor about the new model’s camera. However, it is expected to be an all-in-one camera and iris scanner which is far from what G5 can offer. The dual rear camera, laser autofocus, optical image stabilization, and other camera features from the G5 is expected to be in G6 too, if not better.

LG G5 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, wireless charger, 32 GB storage, 4GB of RAM and supports microSD so it is expected that LG G6 will have a much better spec. It is also believed LG G6 will come with an Android Nougat and an interface similar to LG’s Optimus.

And last but not the least is the price difference. Tech Times reported that the new LG will approximately cost $770, $50 more expensive than the last G5. Analyst says the difference in price is acceptable, especially since G6 comes with many better features.
