One of America's hit singers, Lady Gaga performed in the Super Bowl and her show was anything but dull. The singer gave one heck of a show and an even better response to body shaming.

Born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, Lady Gaga has made waves ever since she debuted on TV. Her avant-garde style has rattled the media and gained her haters and loads of fans. Since then, her musical prowess has earned her six Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe and even going as far as being a nominee for the Academy Awards. Her unique style and energy definitely brought vigor to the pumped-up crowd in the Super Bowl.

According to Billboard, Lady Gaga's performance helped pull up FOX's ratings. She garnered up to 117.5 million viewers. This placed her performance at the second place of the top-viewed halftime performances just a notch below Katy Perry.

The Super Bowl is not the only thing for Lady Gaga, however. The songstress is also gearing up for her upcoming single "Perfect Illusion." This song is part of her new album entitled "Joanne", coined after her name. Statistically, that would be her fifth album and is already making its way to the top along with her THREE CONSECUTIVE NUMBER ONE albums on the Billboard Hot 100. Named as Billboard's "Woman of the Year", Lady Gaga is a whirlwind of talent and spunk as she collected a whopping 30 million album sales and 150 million single sales. Billboard said that her performance helps her single, "Million Reasons" soar by a 100%!

Despite such an electrifying performance, Lady Gaga gained much criticism as people took to the internet to talk about her weight gain. This form of body shaming did not sit well for the musician and she responded the best way the Mama Monster that she is could: Not caring and rising in the face of all criticism. According to CNN, Lady Gaga posted a photo of her performance with a caption that is truly inspirational. To quote a line from that said caption, "Be you, and be relentlessly you."
