Turkey Syria Border Wall Almost Complete, How It Compares To US President Trump's Planned Obstacle

The Turkey Syria border wall is nearing its completion, but unlike President Trump's "impenetrable" wall, the one in Turkey is more than half way finished. Turkey's planned wall to separate itself from war-torn Syria is a few miles away from its goal.

Numerous instances in the past of illegal border crossers has pushed Turkey to build its "security wall." According to DailySabah, a number of terror group members have illegally crossed Turkish borders, while disguised as Syrian refugees.

Although the report mentioned that it's nearly impossible to distinguish the terror group members from actual Syrians since they both look and dress in a similar fashion. In that sense, it's easier for these terror group members to slip into the country, regardless of the Turkey Syrian border wall.

However, the members of the terror group are recognized by Turkish authorities as a national threat. This gives more reason for the country to double-up their efforts in finishing the Turkey Syria border wall.

According to Archinect, the wall is already more than half-way complete from its 317 mile goal. While US President Trump's ambitious wall hopes to cover 1,900 miles, it's still nowhere to be seen.

On the other hand, the Turkey Syria border wall has already managed to cover 180 miles out of the planned 317. The source explained that the Turkish government hopes to improve its security but it will come at the price of a number of Syrian refugees, who are reported to remain stuck on Syrian soil once the wall is finished.

While the Turkey Syria border wall might be a far-cry from Trump's planned "powerful" and "beautiful" southern border wall, its a mandatory structure for Turkey. It's a much needed wall, specially now that there are cases of dangerous terrorist threats that are illegally entering the country.
