The zombie hype rose to greater heights when "World War Z" first came to cinemas and pushed the boundaries of Sci-Fi and cinematography. Now, fans can keep their fingers crossed for a sequel. Turns out, "World War Z 2" can be possible with only one thing needed, the agreement of David Fincher.

According to Collider, "World War Z" star Brad Pitt is working on convincing David Fincher, his friend and constant collaborator in films, to co-create "World War Z 2." The movie, which was aired years ago in 2013, had a lot of struggles behind the scenes and even after its release. However, despite the many changes and challenges it had, it came out strong by earning around 500 million USD.

The sequel was supposed to come out sooner after the release of "World War Z." However, it seems that there were internal issues that spurred the original director of the film, Marc Forster, decline to work with the crew for "World War Z 2." Now, the best option is to get another director who is fit to produce movies such as these and one who can give an even better version of the first one. As with most of the movies, it is a make or break when producing its sequel.

David Fincher is popular for directing blockbuster movies. In IMDb, he has a long list of known movies, some of them are "Zodiac", "Panic Room", "Fight Club", and recently, "Gone Girl." These movies are just SOME of his popular ones, and he's also done short video, and documentaries. With that vast selection of genre, he's a sure fit to direct "World War Z 2." Brad Pitt is luckily close with him and he is interested in producing a second installment of the zombie movie.

There have been plenty of rumors about a script in the making yet we still need the confirmation. But with these recent updates, there is a possibility that "World War Z 2" could make it in production late this year. All of this would rely on Brad Pitt's convincing skills.
