iOS 8 Download: How To Get The Look Now; For Android, That Is

iOS 8 is still at least a few weeks away, so for those who seriously can't wait, the arrival of an iOS 8 look may be just the fix - for Android users.

The iOS 8 Launcher app gives Android fans another option in their arsenal to annoy the iOS buddies awaiting the new update's download and is available right now in the Google Play Store.

Although it isn't exactly like iOS 8, users can enjoy iOS-like customizable app folders, app icons and animations - all while still keeping it Android. Drop-down Notifications Drawer functions remain the same, along with other apps, according to Yahoo Tech.

Apple is set to let loose one more beta versions of iOS 8 before GM, BGR reports.

The website, which is a trusted source for iOS release date news, reports that the beta 6 download will be offered up to developers on Aug. 15. BGR's source tells them that beta 6 will be the final iteration before iOS 8 Gold Master (GM) is released - which will come after "a lull of several weeks."

iOS 8 beta 5 is currently available over-the-air and through the iOS Developer Center for developers using compatible iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices. Apple also released a new Apple TV beta and Xcode 6 beta 4.

The update also fixes several issues created by bugs from the previous versions.

In case you aren't sure if your device is compatible, the only device that didn't make the final list for iOS 8 compatibility is the iPhone 4, as the update is available for download on the iPhone 5S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, iPhone 4S, iPod touch fifth-gen, iPad 2, iPad Air, iPad mini with Retina Display, iPad mini, iPad 4, and iPad 3. As Gotta Be Mobile notes, the iPad 2's inclusion on the list was a mild surprise given Apple's history of leaving devices off of the list after three major updates.
