Fitbit Charge 2 is not just a stylish fitness tracker, it also offers varied and versatile options, but are those enough to warrant a purchase? Fitness trackers are at a compromising position specially with rival SmartWatches jumping into the picture.

There are numerous wearables available on the market today, but not all of them have that much selling points. Google has the Android Wear, Samsung has the Gear S3 and there's the Apple Watch, to name a few. Then there's the Fitbit Charge 2, which mainly focuses on being a fitness tracker.

While other wearables have other functionalities, some come off as quite gimmicky. On the other hand, the Fitbit Charge 2 focuses on what it does best, which is being a great fitness tracker and organizer.

One of the things that deter consumers from buying wearables is that, these usually come out a bit pricey. According to iTechPost, the Fitbit Charge 2 price is quite reasonable at $150.

Given the features that this fitness tracker has, its a worthy investment specially for athletes. The Fitbit Charge 2 specs excels at being a fitness tracker, with multi-sport tracking, cardio fitness tracking and hear-rate monitoring capabilities.

While other wearables are locked to certain exclusive operating systems, the Charge 2 can be used with both Android and iOS devices. The Fitbit Charge 2 specs also acts as an efficient organizer, with alarms, calendars and even messaging support for alerts.

What's more impressive is the Fitbit Charge 2 battery life, which lasts about five days straight, without charging. Although it's rather unfortunate that wearables sales aren't picking up as fast as other tech gadgets.

According to CNN, wearables such as SmartWatches, fitness trackers and even action cameras are going through an all-time low, in terms of sales. Companies such as GoPro and even Fitbit themselves are having a hard time marketing their products since the wearables industry is still pretty much niche.

Wearables like the Fitbit Charge 2 specs aren't terrible, they're just a big investment for gadgets that aren't considered as necessities. If Fitbit manages to keep the Fitbit Charge 2 price or the Alta at even lower prices, this might turn the cards to their favor.
