Trump Executive Order Wall Proposal Incites Massive Boycott From US Architects & Engineers

The Trump Executive Order wall request for proposal might be attracting dozens of vendors, but it's also inciting mass indictment among the architectural community. President Trump's controversial wall has sparked outrage among the citizens ever since its announcement.

Although not all reactions on the Trump Executive Order wall RFP are negative ones. According to Breitbart, there are already over 300 companies that are interested in coming up with a proposal to Trump's wall.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection aiming for a March 6 date for potential vendors to submit their proposal. On March 10, vendors should already come up with a concept paper of their Trump Executive Order wall prototype.

On March 20, there will be an evaluation that leads to the awards and pricing presentation to the selected vendor, by March 24. The CPB will be working closely with the vendor in order to identify the best means in constructing the border.

With the Trump Executive Order wall nearly coming into fruition, it's only natural to expect an angry mob to strike back. According to Archinect, that angry mob comes in the form of the Architecture Lobby organization.

The Architecture Lobby is clearly in disapproval of the Trump Executive Order wall proposals and asks architects and engineers of the country to voice their disdain over the project. While vendors will be preparing their prototype concepts on March 10, the Architecture Lobby plans to boycott that project on the very same date.

The organization urges engineers and architects from all over the country to walk out of their desks for 45 minutes, as an act against the Trump Executive Order wall. The Architecture Lobby hopes to unite their fellow workers starting 4 p.m. Eastern time, in an attempt to rebuke acts of racism, discrimination and xenophobia. Considering the fact that over 300 vendors are expressing their interest over Trump's wall project, it's unclear how much support the Architecture Lobby will be getting.
