Dreamy Home Line for Anthropologie x Mara Hoffman Collab

Mara Hoffman, known for her bohemian fashion sense (think: flowing maxi-dresses and patterned swimwear), has recently launched her first home line in collaboration with Anthropologie.

The result: a collection of home items that are distinctively from Hoffman’s unique aesthetics which can only be described as Coachella-meets-Machu Picchu-meets-Anthropologie. The range that Hoffman produced gives you the bright, graphic, dreamy summer that you’ve always craved for.

According to the NY-based designer, her collection is inspired by her archives of colors and patterns from past seasons and reinterpreting them in new forms and functions. The line gives you a peek into the fashionista’s world of traveling, and interest in nature, mysticism and mythology.

Hoffman said, “I’ve been dreaming of doing a home collection for a long time and have always envisioned it as being a part of our brand’s story.” She added, “The eye motif is strong in this collection and is a symbol we always play and something I feel connected to. We usually sneak an eye or two into every collection.”

For Hoffman, the best way to spruce up a space would be to add unexpected accessories or introducing a pop of color. “Geometric designs are an easy way to breathe life into a room.” She also suggests switching pillows or changing a bed spread with something new and refreshing will do a lot of wonders in a home.

Hoffman translated the prints that she incorporated from her swim wear and ready-to-wear collections into the rugs, patterned journals, pillows and beddings of her Anthropologie home line.

“It was interesting to break things down on certain pieces for the home collection to make them really approachable.”

Her take on the collection can appeal to a broad range of styles and environments. Hoffman can envision her collection being used from eclectic rooms to modern, neutral spaces.
