ZTE Axon 7 is now the cheapest smartphone that is Google Daydream VR ready. The phone retails around $400 compared to other brands that cost $600 like Google and Moto. In addition, the new ZTE phone will get an Android 7.0 Nougat update.

Gadgets 360 reports the phone just needs to be updated with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat, the phone will automatically be Daydream-ready. Downloading the update is easily done and should be easily accessible to its users. People that have already tried the phone said aside from being VR ready, they also liked its long battery life, loud speakers, and good display screen.

According to ZTE USA site, their new model features impressive HiFi audio that boasts high-quality reproduction of sounds, music, and video amplification. Its camera comes with 20 MP specification at the rear, 8 MP at the front, autofocus, dual LED Flash, Samsung ISO-cell sensor, and Sapphire Crystal Lens. In addition, it has fingerprint customization, 2.15 GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB RAM and VoLTE+ HD Voice.

ZTE is a Chinese multinational telecommunications corporation based in Shenzen, Guangdong and operates three businesses namely terminals, carrier networks and telecommunications. Its products range from optical transmission, exchange, wireless, access, data telecommunications device, telecommunication software, and mobile phones. It has also started providing additional services like streaming media and video on demand. Aside from ZTE, the company is also the owner of products under OEM.

Today, the company is one of the biggest smartphone manufacturers in China but also has a market outside the country. Companies like Telus from Canada, Telstra from Australia, Vodafone from the UK, and even France Telecom have bought products of ZTE. In the United States, ZTE is mainly a manufacturer of broadband devices and mobile phones for different couriers like Cricket Wireless, Boost Mobile, AT & T, Sprint, TracFone, T-Mobile, Virgin Mobile and Verizon.
