Motorola fans already got a closer look at the back panel of the highly anticipated Moto G5 Plus. It is speculated to include a fast focusing 12 MP main camera.

A new leak from Weibo, a microblogging site based in China, has brought the tech community's attention back to the Moto G5 Plus. This time, the site has hosted an image of the phone's back panel and also put the camera details out in the open, according to Tech Times.

The soon-to-be-unveiled smartphone is said to contain a Sony IMX362 sensor that will support a 12 MP camera with an F1.7 aperture and PDAF. This is the same sensor that came with the Vivo XPlay 6, which produces sharp and clear images.

The whole camera assembly is a large round unit placed at the middle of the upper half portion, while the Motorola logo is almost at the center. The leaked image of the Moto G5 Plus also shows that the rear panel highlights a big design change for Motorola/Lenovo. The upcoming device will have a metal finish, which supports the previously leaked images of the same device.

It was rumored earlier that the upcoming Moto phone will hit retail stores immediately right after its unveiling at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017. Although there is no exact date available at the moment.

Meanwhile, it remains to be known if there will be an upgraded version of the Motorola flagship phone, the Moto Z. The phone comes with a changeable back module called Moto Mods, which adds more function to the phone.

Motorola is said to offer additional help to hardware manufacturers who are interested in creating mods for their phone. This will then provide additional performance not only for the current Moto Z models but with future models as well, Socpedia reports.

In the meantime, and are looking forward to the MWC 2017 happening on Feb. 27 until March 2, where the Moto G5 will be unveiled. Watch some of the available Moto Mods:
