Decofair 2014 Addresses Growing Demand for Furniture Industry in UAE

With the increasing number of constructions within Saudi Arabia for both hospitality, commercial and residential design projects, there is also an expected increase in the demand for interior fit-outs and furniture imports.

The upcoming Decofair 2014 might just provide the solution for this growing demand as it is Saudi Arabia’s major international furniture and interior design show. In it’s sixth edition, Decofair 2014 is set to take place from November 10-13, 2014 at the Jeddah Centre for Forums & Events.

According to the organizers, local and international exhibitors will exceed their numbers from last years as many have already confirmed their participation in the event. The majority of the exhibitors will come from Italy, Spain, France and Denmark. Top-quality and well-known furniture brands such as BoConcept, Fendi Home, Kenzo Maison, Roche Bobois, Roberto Cavalli, KA International, Hans Grohe, Roca, Scavolini, Casa D’Argento and Dogtas are only a few of the early bookings for this year’s trade show. Local exhibitors in Saudi Arabia such as Al Sorayai, Al Mutlaq and Al Bonian Group will also become a part of the furniture fair.

Naomi Barton, International Sales & Marketing Director of Reed Sunaidi Exhibitions said, “Saudi Arabia is the largest and the fastest-growing construction market in the Gulf, and this is having a positive knock-on effect on the local interiors and furniture markets. Spending on furniture items is expected to grow 13.7% annually to 2017. Currently, furniture imports in the Kingdom total $2.2 bn.” Barton also said that Saudi Arabia has the most buoyant market in interiors and the only credible venue to access its advantages would be through Decofair.

Aside from the furniture trade show, this year’s Decofair will also offer investors direct access to KSA’s real estate investment opportunities as the event will be in the same location and schedule as the Saudi Real Estate & Investment Show.
