Design Worldwide Partnership wins Middle East Interior Design Awards 2014

Design Worldwide Partnership (dwp) was recently recognized at the Middle East Interior Design Awards 2014 for their work on the Emaar Headquarters. The firm took the awards for the “Large Corporate Space” category during the Index 2014 exhibit held last week at the United Arab Emirates.

Emaar is one of the world’s largest property developers and the company wanted to promote a reinvigorating workplace through the design of their office. dwp translated Emaar’s vision and brand over the 6,250 square meter office. According to their client brief, the company wanted adequate natural daylighting, an open-office plan, loft-style idea, and a workplace with long work tables which encourages collaborative and communicative environment. dwp transformed the three-level office into a work environment that has positive, motivating impact on the team and inviting for the clients. The design firm and property development company were both happy with the result of dwp’s work.

George Kahler, Design Director for dwp UAE said, “We are very proud to have won this prestigious award. dwp created a dynamic and highly collaborative workspace, which has exceeded our client’s expectations. This award further emphasizes the impact and effectiveness of our client-focused design approach.”

The Middle East Interior Design Awards 2014 was a part of the Index 2014 award ceremony which was held last May 19 at The Palm, Dubai. The award-giving body recognizes outstanding and innovative design projects within countries in Middle East and North Africa. The awards were categorized into 13 different typologies of architecture and interior design including retail, hospitality, residential, corporate, commercial and leisure sectors.

Index is the United Arab Emirates’ largest design exhibit and trade fair which invites exhibitors all across the globe, with majority coming in from the MENSA countries. This year’s event was considered as the largest ever since the inception of Index Dubai.
