Star Wars, Some Powerful Jedi Who Turned To The Dark Side

There were many powerful Jedi to roam the stars in Star Wars history, but really, how powerful of an ally is the Force? To answer the difficult question, let's screen through some of the most powerful Jedi in Star Wars.

One of them is definitely Yoda himself, despite being old and in small wizened form, according to Screen Rant. Over his 900 years, Yoda has witnessed the fall of the Republic and the rise of the Galactic Empire, but he has never once doubted the dark side being a "quick and easy path."

His power was quite evident especially in the swamps of Dagobah, which makes it clear that he is no ordinary Jedi. During the Clone Wars, he also twice defeated Darth Tyrannus during the Clone Wars, which would have overwhelmed Darth Sidious too.

However, Yoda's power did not suffice to defeat the new Emperor of the Galaxy. That brings to the first in the list - Luke Skywalker. Luke stands out as the most powerful Jedi of Star Wars in the Dark Empire comic book series published by Dark Horse Comics in 1991, according to Reel Rundown.

After the Battle of Endor and the destruction of the second Death Star, Luke is taken to Byss and to the chamber where Darth Sidious is as he arrives. Realizing that Sidious cannot be killed, Luke agrees to become his new apprentice in much reluctance, conforming to Sidious' plan all along.

Soon, Luke becomes Sidious' right-hand man and stands by his side even when Leia is brought before the Emperor. Luke turns on his new master and destroys the clone tanks, but fails to kill the Emperor, who holds the living clone and has subdued Luke.

However, Leia finally rescues her brother from the dark side as she convinces him to help her turn against the Emperor by pushing a Force Storm at him. Regardless of the happy ending, what seems apparent is that only few people have gone over to the Dark Side with the right measure of power.
