Situated in the heart of Uganda, Our Lady of Victoria Monastery is living proof of Cistercian Trappist monks. The monastery was initially founded in 1952 in Kenya. It was recently changed by constructing a series of new buildings designed by Localworks Studio that perfectly harmonize with the surrounding scenery. These structures are intended for local materials and adorned with local traditional motifs, serving as sacred spaces for prayer, contemplation, and community.

The Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi is the torch of unity and understanding in a world so often torn by religious and cultural differences. A mosque, a church, a synagogue, and spaces in joint shall be established within the Interfaith Peace Centre, or whatever it shall be named, for people of all faiths living together in peace. The Abrahamic Family House is where dialogues, interaction, respect, and coexistence through architecture and inclusive design can be materialized.

Aldeia Temple in Brazil, for instance, invites every visitor for a spiritual journey of self-discovery and contemplation. A wonder of contemporary architecture designed by NEBR Arquitetura, this temple throws aside common forms in favor of a rather bold, even somewhat laconic manner. The open temple design with ascending columns against the sky symbolizes transcendence and unity with the divine. Here, worshippers of all backgrounds are welcome to commune with their inner selves and experience the transformative power of spiritual enlightenment.
