'Transformers: The Last Knight' Latest News & Update: Upcoming Chapter Will Be Their Last

The hype of Transformers is back as their trailer was released during the Super Bowl. However, recent news has gotten the fans of this franchise upset. The decade-long movie series is coming to an end. The end will manifest through "Transformers: The Last Knight."

"Transformers: The Last Knight" is like no other since director Michael Bay plans to make it the last chapter. Through his official site, Bay said, "I can safely say that there's never been a Transformers film with the huge visual scope and expansive mythology as this movie, The Last Knight." Despite the bittersweet feeling of the viewers, people are sure that this movie would highlight a lot of visual graphics even better than the films before it.

In their original trailer, "Transformers: The Last Knight" shows the leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime, and his inner struggles. However, the trailer takes a darker tone opposing its predecessors. The film, according to their official YouTube account, "redefines what it means to be a hero." It is shown in the short clip that humans and Transformers are at war with each other. As what Bay said, the stories and the movies are linked to each other.

We can see a return of the characters and an appearance of some new ones in "Transformers: The Last Knight." One of the male protagonists, Cade Yeager (played by Mark Wahlberg) appears in the trailer and an Oxford professor (played by Laura Haddock) accompanies him as they join the fight for survival. They also mentioned an appearance of the adorable comedic Autobot Bumblebee and at the beginning, we see Sir Anthony Hopkins. However, it is not yet given away what roles Hopkins and Haddock play in the movie.

The trailer of "Transformers: The Last Knight", does not give out the plot and fans are only left to speculate what it is about. Even then, their description in their YouTube video says, "...the hunted will become heroes. Heroes will become villains." Even if it would appear to be the last chapter under Michael Bay, there is still hope. According to Forbes, Paramount is attempting to expand the franchise into a cinematic universe.
