Serpentine Couch, Pierre Jeanneret Easy Armchair Most Coveted Interior Designer Pieces; Home Trends For 2017 Revealed

Interior design that tops the trend is not easy to define, given that every client has a different taste and variety of specific needs. In fact, most designers agree to the fact that there is a small chance of purchasing the same items for a large group of clients. That said, a leading online marketplace for covetable designer pieces revealed the items that interior designers are adding to their list.

Some interior design experts are reported to choose the iconic Serpentine couch made by the mid-century furniture designer Vladimir Kagan. In fact, two designers were said to be after the same item listed on the site. The piece was in a different color, so the team had the couch reupholstered to fit the client's choice of color.

Interior designers, meantime, are looking for new ways to include a distinct value to their projects, which also means having to collect pieces from female creators. In that sense, there has been a strong success noted for the Charlotte Perriand furniture, seating by Kerstin Horlin-Holmquist and the Grasshopper lamp by Greta Grossman. On the other hand, some designers use pieces like the Pierre Jeanneret easy armchair and the Borge Mogensen Spanish leather chair to focus on the 1950s era, Architectural Digest reported.

Meanwhile, a number of home trends are expected to shape the interior design of 2017. Among these is the shade of green that will often be seen in fashion, commercial and home decor design this year. According to experts, "Greenery", which has been named as the 2017 Pantone Color of The Year, represents revitalization and refreshment that may be used in a complex political and social environment.

Interior design with mixed patterns is also expected to appear more in home decor in 2017, as it was initially spotted at the New York Fashion Week in 2016. An example of this is a comforter with a mixed pattern that provides the room with a mismatched and enticing pattern, Elle Decor reported. Learn more about Modern and Luxury Interior Designs here:
