Interior Designer Nancy Lem Becomes a Social Media Hit

An interior designer has made it into the hearts of the social media crowd. Meet Nancy Lem of Nancy Lem Design. Lem has been awarded with a customer satisfaction award by Houzz, an interior design and decorating website.

Houzz gives recognition to designers within two categories- customer satisfaction and design. Lem received the highest number of best quality reviews on her profile on Houzz. Currently, the website has more than 16 million users who look at the site for professional images of home interiors and exteriors.

Lem has been working in the design profession for 20 years and said that she was able to establish visibility through Houzz. “It was great. It’s pretty amazing to know that your work is being seen worldwide.”
Lem has an interior design degree from Ryerson University. After graduating, she became a part of companies such as II by IV Design Associates of Toronto which creates high-profile commercial and residential interior designs.

A native of Orillia, Lem runs her own company and focuses on clients within her locality, from the north of Toronto to Barrie, Muskoka and Orillia.

Aside from being an interior designer, she is also a part-time faculty member of the interior design program at the Georgian College.

This isn’t the first time that Lem has received recognition for her work. In 2011, she was the recipient of an award from the Canadian Decorator’s Association for her design of the Orillia Bakery and Deli.

Lem is also busy with her three-year stint with Streets Alive! Festival of Banners project.

Lem will also be appearing during the Orillia Home Show to provide free 15-minute design consultations for three hours. The show will be held at the Barnfield Point Recreation Center.
