Travis Kelce has added a major property to his portfolio, purchasing a sprawling lakefront estate in Bratenahl, Ohio, for $5.35 million. The acquisition places the Kansas City Chiefs tight end just a few miles from Cleveland Heights, where he grew up, and adds a significant chapter to his expanding real estate holdings.

The purchase closed in March 2026, roughly four months before Kelce and Taylor Swift married at Madison Square Garden in New York City. While the timing has naturally drawn attention, the property itself is notable for its size, history, and location along Lake Erie.

Inside Travis Kelce's $5.35 Million Ohio Home

The newly purchased Travis Kelce House is located in Bratenahl, an affluent lakeside village east of Cleveland. The estate stretches across approximately 3.5 acres and includes a roughly 21,140-square-foot mansion with eight bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, according to recent reports.

Known as Moyenage, the residence dates to 1895 and reflects the Gilded Age architecture associated with some of Northeast Ohio's historic estates. The property has undergone extensive renovation, combining its original character with updated amenities suited to modern luxury living.

The estate also includes a five-car garage, swimming pool, game room, theater, and a two-bedroom guest cottage created from a renovated gatehouse. Its Lake Erie frontage gives the property an especially distinctive setting within the Cleveland-area luxury market.

Why Travis Kelce's Lakefront Estate Stands Out

The Ohio purchase is significant within Travis Kelce Real Estate because of both its scale and its connection to his roots. Kelce grew up in Cleveland Heights and attended Cleveland Heights High School, making the location considerably closer to his hometown than his better-known Kansas properties.

The estate's history also distinguishes it from a typical Celebrity Real Estate purchase. Figurati Construction Group acquired the property for $1.95 million in 2023 and subsequently restored it. It was later offered for considerably more, with an original asking price reported at $6.99 million. Kelce ultimately purchased the property for $5.35 million.

Bratenahl itself has long been associated with waterfront estates and wealthy Cleveland-area residents. The village's combination of privacy, historic architecture, and proximity to Cleveland makes it an appealing setting for high-profile homeowners seeking a quieter property without being far from the city.

What the Ohio Property Means for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce

The purchase has also attracted attention because of its timing with the couple's relationship. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce became engaged in August 2025, and Kelce completed the Ohio transaction in March 2026, several months before their wedding.

However, there has been no confirmed indication that the Ohio property will become their primary residence. The couple has access to multiple properties, and Kelce already owns substantial real estate in the Kansas City area.

The Bratenahl estate could instead provide the couple with a private base near Kelce's family and longtime connections to Northeast Ohio. Its substantial size also offers plenty of room for entertaining while maintaining the privacy expected from a high-profile home.

Travis Kelce's Ohio Home Adds a Historic Address to His Real Estate Portfolio

For Travis Kelce, the $5.35 million acquisition represents more than another luxury property. The historic mansion gives his portfolio a rare combination of lakefront acreage, architectural significance, extensive living space, and proximity to the place where his football career began.

It also stands out among celebrity homes because it is deeply connected to his personal geography. Rather than purchasing solely in a traditional celebrity enclave, Kelce chose a property near his childhood community and within the Cleveland-area market.

For Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, the Bratenahl estate therefore adds another distinctive address to an already high-profile property portfolio. Whether it becomes a frequent retreat or simply another private residence, the lakefront Ohio home has quickly become one of the most closely watched celebrity real estate purchases of 2026.
