“Fix It and Finish It” New Home Design Show Searches for Homeowners

A new home design show on television is currently scouring Jackson MI for homeowners who might be interested in transforming the look of their home, according to a news release from the Jackson Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Selected homeowners will then become a part of the TV show “Fix It and Finish It" which will be hosted by Antonio Sabao Jr. The show will feature the host traveling around the country while looking for average homeowners who might want to have their homes fixed and renovated. “Fix It and Finish It” can help them redesign their homes- be it a living room, a deck, an old RV or a dining room within a day. The only exception would be those living in condominiums, duplexes or those who are planning to have their bathrooms renovated.

Taping for the show will begin shortly after the participants are chosen. To be considered for “Fix It and Finish It,” applicants should send in their personal stories, recent pictures of themselves as well as the current household that they are in. They should also include recent images of spaces that they want to be renovated as well as answer the show’s design questionnaire. All entries should be submitted through email at fixitfinishitcasting@gmail.com.

According to Jackson CVB spokeswoman Yolanda Clay-Moore, the show has recently finished taping in New Orleans and Mobile and are planning to come to Jackson for their next stop. The taping, she said, will be in June which is why enthusiastic homeowners are being urged to send in their applications immediately.

The show, which will feature Sabato working with a team of designers and contractors renovating homes, RVs and cabins, will premier in the fall. It will be produced by Scott Sternberg productions and will be aired locally on WLBT-TV.
