HTC Desire Eye Specs Leak: Two 13-Megapixel Cameras Tipped

The HTC Desire Eye is going to pack two 13-megapixel cameras, according to leaker @upleaks.

The smartphone will also reportedly pack a f2.0 wide angle for its selfie-focused front-facing camera.

Upleaks also offered up an alleged image of the device's design, which CNET notes looks different than the One M8, suggesting this is not the One M8 Eye we've also heard about, which is believed to basically be the HTC Butterfly 2 in a metal body. .

The purported HTC Desire Eye will arrive with a 5.2-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) display and 423ppi, along with a Snapdragon 801 chipset that packs a quad-core Krait 400 CPU and an Adreno 330 GPU. While no other details have been offered on the device, it has been rumored to be the "ultimate selfie phone."

HTC One M8 Max Looks Like A Legit Upcoming Phablet Competitor

Although the release time frame of HTC's rumored One M8 Max phablet's is still a mystery, it appears the device is going to be one monster phablet if the latest specs leak is true.

A new report from Chinese website MyDrivers (via BGR) has revealed the purported device for a 5.5-inch 2K display, Snapdragon 805 quad-core 2.7MHz processor, 3GB of RAM, 3,000mAh battery, an 18-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and Android L.

As BGR notes, these specs are very similar to those previously leaked for what was being dubbed the HTC One M8 Prime, which the Taiwanese tech giant reportedly decided to suspend indefinitely earlier this year.

No matter the name it releases with, a device with these specs would surely become a legitimate competitor to the market's current phablet lineup, including Apple's new iPhone 6 Plus and Samsung's Galaxy Note 4.
