The "Bates Motel" Season 5 trailer reportedly revealed that Rihanna would be joining the cast soon to reportedly play an important role in the series. In the meantime, the trailer also showed Alex Romero behind bars but is yet to reveal the reason for his jail time.
"Bates Motel" Season 5 Fast Forwards To 2 Years Late
Rihanna is slated to play a crucial role in the A&E series especially in Norman's life. It has been noted that "Bates Motel" Season 5 sees Rihanna arriving 18 months after the death of Norma. On top of this project, the singer has several other confirmed casting later this year including "Valeria," "Ocean's Eight' and "City of a Thousand Planets", The Guardian reported.
The "Bates Motel" Season 5 showrunner Kerry Ehrin also revealed that Norman Bates is currently in a very lonely and fragile place. It has also been previously revealed that "Bates Motel" Season 5 would begin almost two years later following Norman's double life.
Apparently, Norman would pretend to lead a happy life in public, but to reportedly struggle in private. Furthermore, his violent behavior is said to push him into complete psychosis. It has also been revealed that in "Bates Motel" Season 5, Emma Decody (Olivia Cooke) and Dylan Massett (Max Thieriot) would be the first to figure out his insanity.
Norma is Back From The Dead?
Meanwhile, Norma will show up in "Bates Motel" Season 5 in Norman's mind as the trailer showed Norman yelling at his mother. While Norma is just a made up idea in his mind, apparently, Norman is said to be deeply in denial with Norma's death, Hidden Remote reported.
"Bates Motel" Season 5 is also expected to reveal why Alex Romero is behind bars. Apparently, Romero is swearing revenge and warned Norman that he is coming for him. Moreover, Dylan and Caleb (Kenny Johnson) would reportedly return to "Bates Motel" with the latter discovering that Norman is not as innocent as he seems.
