Pedro Ferreira Architecture Studio Converts Abandoned Alves Da Veiga Building With Pine & Marble Surfaces
The six-set apartment Alves da Veiga building built in the nineteenth century is under renovation work with Pedro Ferreira Architecture Studio after being abandoned for long decades. The building possesses a beautiful exterior which designer still see its full potentials.
From the outside, one could say that the Alves da Veiga building looks like a two-story edifice but the fact remains that in the inside it consists of four fits to live in floors exemplified both a mezzanine organization and a curious floor. The Pedro Ferreira Architecture Studio checked on other potentials of the building on which plans are incorporated to put up an actual modern-day-style approach out of a nineteenth-century structure.
Details of the project planned for the Alves da Veiga Building are published in Home World Design. The project name is XIX Century house remodeling and has the styling of interior designer Rute Moreda. Preferably, since the location is in Porto, Portugal, Pedro Ferreira Architecture Studio leads the architectural project which they are in partnership with ASL & Associados, Lda engineers and construction company from Home Rehab, Lda. Pedro Ferreira Architecture Studio described the Alves da Veiga building as, "Simple, yet strict interior hide multiple organizational solutions all around the building." The studio's statement further defines, the edifice with an extraordinary staircase and has inimitable open folding windows and has a clean austere form.
"Despite the advanced state of degradation, the industrial austerity that we encountered during the first visits served as a starting point for the definition of the proposal," also pronounced by the Pedro Ferreira Architecture Studio published on Dezeen. As of the moment, the Alves da Veiga building has 14 affordable flats for young people and students and consist of immovable units and furnished habitat.
