American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Announces its 2014 Award Recipient

The American Society of Interior Designers has unveiled the recipients of the 2014 ASID Design Awards. The awards were given to members of the design industry who have shown commitment towards advancing the design profession, improved human experience through design and have demonstrated great work in healthcare, education and research, workplace design, and technology innovation.

ASID President Rachelle Schoessler Lynn said, “These four awards pay tribute to the remarkable contributions and accomplishments of our peers, but more importantly they serve as a barometer for the interior design profession.” She adds, “ These innovators are making bold strides in technology, evidence-based and human-centric design and are training the next generation of designers. They exemplify the field’s strength, promise and value.”

The recipients of the 2014 ASID Design Awards are:
Tama Duffy Day (Designer of Distinction), Judith Heerwagen (Design for Humanity), Haworth (Design Innovation) and Amy Campos (Nancy Vincent McClelland and Merit Award).

Every year, ASID also appoint members of the panel which are comprised of ASID members, fellows and representatives of the design community. This year’s jury include Elizabeth Oshana (healthcare designer at CAMA Inc.), Gary Wheeler (co-founder of WHEELERKANIK), Jennifer Busch (vice president of A&D Market Development at Interface), Susan S. Szenasy (publisher of Metropolis) and Tim Duggan (community planner and landscape architect at the Make it Right Foundation).
