Jan Henrik Hansen Redefines Badminton Hall Structure With A Spaceport-Like Design

Sihlsports Center badminton hall is made with flat concrete slabs that are supported by lightweight steel frames. Jan Henrik Hansen Architects designed it as that to avoid disturbing columns.

The interior design of the hall is filled with black walls and ceilings. Jan Henrik Hansen Architects contrasted it with wooden floors and steel roof beams. The high ceiling and windows enable also excellent light and ventilation.
