55 DowningStreet.com was launched in 2012 by lighting company Lamps Plus. “We see the Designer Must-Have series as a home and apartment decorating resource for those seeking upscale, luxury looks and room-specific recommendations from acclaimed designers,” says Lamps Plus Chief Creative Office Manja Swanson.

The first event called “Luxurious Looks” which will take place on April 28 to May 3, 2014 will feature the curated items from NY-based home decorating and lifestyle blogger of The Decorista, Ashlina Kaposta. “Luxurious Looks” will showcase dramatic furnishings ranging from crystal daped lighting, diamond tufted seating, mirrored furniture and so much more.

The next events will be curated by Lisa Mende of Lisa Mende Design, Christian May of Maison 21, Traci Zeller of Traci Zeller Designs and Jenny Komenda of Little Green Notebook. This is just an initial list of events under “Designer Must-Haves” and more will be added in the following months.
