Hiro Mashima, creator of "Fairy Tail" has a special gift for all the avid fans of the wizards and mages of Magnolia. This Valentine's day double chapters of "Fairy Tail" will be released and reports suggest that these will feature the death of ice make mage Gray Fullbuster.
Will it be an utterly cold Valentine's day for the fans of the stripping ice mage? Every fan knows what Gray's trump card is and nearly no one wants him to be placed in a situation where he might use it. However, the latest released chapter of the "Fairy Tail" manga has Gray Fullbuster in a pot of boiling hot water.
According to Tripped Media, Gray Fullbuster is now up against Zeref in the chapter prior to "Fairy Tail" chapter 522 & 523, which may prove to be a dire case for our favorite ice wizard. Moreover, it is worth mentioning that Gray has been in a lot of near death situations, the most notable of which is during the Grand Magic Games Arc, where he actually died.
Luckily and conveniently, he was saved because of Ultear's ace skill time reversal magic in the previous "Fairy Tail" arc. Another near death experience was when the ice mage tried to kill himself while in a heated battle with Invel Yura. Is it possible that all these near death situations are preparing fans for Gray's ultimate skill being used?
In addition, the previous chapter featured the battle between Gray and Zeref starting up and the ice mage has already taken a significant amount of damage from Zeref. It is also noticed that Zerefs makes a mental apology to Natsu which hints that he is going to fight Gray with all his might. Apparently, Zeref is prepared to ignore the fact that Gray is his brother's best friend and will not hold back, possibly killing him in the upcoming "Fairy Tail" chapter 522 & 523.
It is known that Gray has already acquired powerful devil slayer magic from his father and that makes him a powerful opponent against Zeref. However, on a sad note that may not be enough to take out the legendary thousand-year-old wizard.
Every fan knows that Gray can also cast Iced Shell, the powerful self-sacrificing ice-make move used by Ur. Many are speculating that Gray will use the skill in "Fary Tail" Chapter 522 & 523 as he battles Zeref to the death.
