Fizz Wins the 10th Annual Hospitality Design Magazine Awards

Fizz, the opulently-designed champagne bar and lounge at Caesars Palace has recently been announced as the recipient of the 10th annual Hospitality Design Magazine Awards in the “Nightclub, Bar and Lounge Category.” The bar, which bested more than 400 entries globally will be awarded on June 4 at the Grand Hyatt New York.

Todd Avery-Lenahan, designer of the bar, said “FIZZ shimmers as a space that is simultaneously glamorous and relaxed while speaking of champagne’s endearing qualities.” He added, “Champagne has been brought forward as a key element of the design and is wrapped in the aura of Creative Director David Furnish and his partner, Sir Elton John. The result is an atmosphere that truly encompasses the glamour and elegance champagne represents.”

With Lenahan’s design direction, guests at FIZZ are welcomed into an inspiring artistic journey as they enter the interior which has a dramatic 23 foot-tall ceiling with an upper level that overlooks at the main floor. Lenahan used the palette of ivory, cognac and copper representing the essence of champagne. He paired it with silk moire and walnut which creates a vibe that is both luxurious and warm. The tall ceiling is decked with over-sized chandeliers while the furniture pieces are finished in bronze glass, cream upholstery, faux fur and cheetah print. Lenahan has successfully created a modern interior whilst applying the original interior fashions of Caesars Palace during the late 60s and early 70s. Avant-garde photographs from Furnish andJohn’s collections are also seen in the interiors, making it an intimately captivating place to hangout and chill.

During the Hospitality Design Magazine’s awarding ceremony, Furnish, Lenahan and owners Michael Greco and Steven Kennedy will grace the event. Lenahan is also an inductee of the prestigious Hospitality Design Platinum Circle. His firm, TAL Studio has been annually receiving design recognitions for their work all over the world.
