3 Monkeys Swinging Over Brick Lane is Banksy’s 3rd Artwork in London

Banksy has revealed a new artwork in London, marking the third and latest addition to his new "animal-themed" collection.

The piece features three black silhouette monkeys that appeared on a bridge over Brick Lane in east London, near a vintage clothing shop and a coffee house. The elusive Bristol-based street artist has claimed credit for this third creation in just three days.

Banksy's new monkey artwork is an addition to two earlier works featuring elephants and a goat, as Design Times reported.

Banksy's Monkey Artwork

On Wednesday, Banksy shared an image of the monkey artwork on his Instagram, similar to goats and elephants, but no caption was shared.

BBC described that Banksy shows the monkeys appearing as if they are swinging from the bridge, a playful yet mysterious addition to the urban landscape. Not far from Shoreditch High Street, the location has quickly become a hotspot for admirers eager to snap photos with the latest creations.

James Peak, presenter of BBC's *The Banksy Story*, described the monkeys as "brilliantly rendered" and noted that the recent surge in Banksy's activity has generated a buzz across different parts of London.

"Banksy is mounting a campaign-an ever-increasing number of animals in different, disparate parts of London. Where's he going to pop up next? Nobody knows." he said.

The meaning behind the animal series remains unclear, as Banksy has not provided any rationale for any of the Instagram posts featuring the artwork.

Like clockwork, speculation has run wild online. However, Instagram users drew connections to the Japanese proverb "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil," although Banksy's monkeys notably do not cover their eyes, ears, or mouths.
