European HTC One M8 owners, the Android 4.4.3 update is now seeding to you, GSMArena reports.

The firmware update, which is 613MB in size, brings the device's software up to version to 2.22.401.4. The most notable updates to the device with the update are security-related, but there are also improvements to mobile network, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth performance optimization.

Native HTC apps including the camera, image gallery, settings menu, as and HTC Sync Manager, have also been updated. HTC Sense has been tweaked, as well.

If you're a European user, go to Settings in your device right now to check for its availability.

One M8 gets new colors in the UK

The HTC One M8 is coming to the UK with two new splashes of color, GSMArena reports.

The HTC flagship smartphone will be available in red exclusively through carrier O2, with pre-orders kicking off on Aug. 5. The device will be officially offered two days later. A pink color option, meanwhile, will be carried by Carphone Wearhouse starting Aug. 7. However, those who pre-order the pink One M8 tomorrow can also grab a HTC DotView case for free.

Leaker @evleaks previously offered shots of both colors in leaked press renders.

The DotView case, meanwhile, recently received a step up in functionality thanks to a new app update from HTC, Pocket-Lint reports.

The case, which previously allowed users to check out the time, weather, and receive notifications on texts, emails and calls without operating their phone, now brings wallpaper customization, new settings and more.

The most notable new feature is a redial mode, which allows users to call back their three most recent callers by simply swiping upwards once. To go through texts, emails, voicemails and call notifications, users simply need to swipe once left or right.

The free DotView app download's wallpaper customization offers 18 new designs, along with the option to use your own image of choice via the gallery or camera.

The new HTC One (M8) packs a 5-inch, full HD 1080p screen, a 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, Sense 6.0, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory and a 2800 mAh battery, microSD support and three cameras, including two on the back.
