Trump Budget Cuts List: How Its Effects On Arts & Sciences Are Considered As Un-American

The Trump budget cut list continues to expand, and recent studies shows that this damages traits that make the country more American. With ambitious plans such as the Trump border wall, it is no surprise that the administration will opt for budget cuts in order to fund their projects.

Among the recent Trump budget cut list is the inclusion of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), which is in threat of being removed. According to NBC, the NEA is one of the foundations of American political culture.

NEA was established at a time when people trusted and fully-believed in the government. However, the increasing Trump budget cut list only shows that this public trust is slowly declining.

One of the things that made the NEA stand firmly on its own was its American traits of being independent and being very much diversified. Regardless of the looming threat that is the Trump budget cut list, even some of the US President's supporters wish that the NEA would be spared.

With the way the Trump administration is running things, the importance on arts is slowly diminishing. The source even mentioned that elected officials in the past gave a lot of emphasis on the importance of the arts.

The planned removal of the NEA, as well as the announced Trump budget cut list indicates that the country is straying away from what made it synonymous to freedom and independence. According to PBS, the Science and Health programs are taking a major blow as well.

Among the notable departments within the Trump budget cut list is the Environmental Protection Agency, which suffers a 31 percent cut, and the U.S Department of Agriculture, which receives a 21 percent cut. Even the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Energy suffers significant 19 percent and 6 percent budget cuts, respectively.

Furthermore, the Chemical Safety Board, the ones responsible for investigating chemical spills, receives a whopping 100 percent cut. Needless to say, there's no telling what other departments are at risk of being included in the Trump budget cut list in the near future.
