Facebook Video App Now Comes on Apple TV; Here’s How to Use It

Facebook has just made their video app available on Apple TV as promised by the company. This allows their users to enjoy Facebook videos on a much bigger screen which is expected to be a big hit to many Apple users. The new app is called “Facebook Video” and is already available in Apple’s TV App store.

Using the new app is similar to other TV apps. TV Verge reported that users can login from their smartphones using the Facebook mobile app or through their internet browser at Facebook.com/device. Once the user’s account has been set up, the app comes with a home tab where users can browse various videos.

These videos come from different sources including the user’s friends, pages and people the user is following and other videos that Facebook recommend to the user. The most popular videos will also be featured in the app as well as any videos that user saved or has watched before.

The new app allows the user to preview a video without the need to click it by just highlighting a video tile from the row of videos on display, according to Macworld. By doing this, the video automatically plays with sounds and all the user need to do is tap the Siri remote to go full screen. As soon as the video ends, a countdown timer will appear before the next video is played.

Another feature the app comes with is to browse other videos to watch while watching another video in full screen. All the user needs to do is swipe up and view other related videos. For instance, if the user is watching a cooking video, the videos the app will recommend will be related to cooking.

The user will also have the option to report or hide any video the user do not want to see or thinks is not appropriate for viewing. As for viewing captions, reactions and comments, user can either enable it or turn it off in the app’s setting menu.
