HP Demonstrates Wallcovering Possibilities at NY Design Week

HP showcased the creative opportunities that digital print can offer through custom wallcovering solutions for designers and manufacturers during New York Design Week.

At the demonstration at the SURTEX ReSource Hub, booths 951 and 1053, HP demonstrated how digital print technology can help designers optimize the new trend in wallpaper personalization and technology. HP, along with its partners showed an end-to-end printing solution for wallcovering such as the HP WallArt 2.5 design tool, the HP Latex 3000 Printer for high volume production and the new HP Latex 360 printer for efficient proofing.

The HP WallArt 2.5 is a user-friendly, cloud-based web service that can be used for design, collaboration and production of personalized wallcoverings, poster, canvas print and wall decals. It is a free software for new and existing HP Latex Printing technology customers. It is also available on mobile and can be downloaded on Google Play and Apple App store.

The HP Latex 300 Printer is a new addition to the HP family and is ideal for efficient proofing. It has easy to use and affordable models so designers can efficiently transition from design conceptualization to production. HP Latex 300 comes in 54-inch and 64-inch printers so designers can print on a wider range of different materials such paper, wallcovering and textile.

High volume production is possible with the HP Latex 3000 Printer which has a wide range of colors of up to 1200 dots per inch. The printer can be left unattended overnight and the output comes off as dry and ready to use.

HP also exhibited a gallery of custom-printed decor to show how digital design can come to life through the work of industrial and interior designer Markus Benesch.

Benesch said, “ As a curious designer, I will never stop challenging myself to discover new ways to create.” He added, “With HP digital printing technology, I have the freedom to experiment with my graphic world on a bolder scale, truly realizing complex and colorful design concepts. Digital printing gives life to designs in ways not previously possible.”
