A sharp iPhone 6 concept video has been unveiled by designer Alex Casabo, taking a more realistic look at the upcoming Apple flagship as a progression of the recently released iPhone 5S and 5C smartphones.
In the video, Casabo sticks to the color schemes unveiled with the 5S, but drapes the entire body of each device in the gold, space gray and white/silver hues similarly to the 5C. The smartphone's body comes in with the following dimensions: Height: 130 mm, Width: 63 mm, Depth: 5.5 mm, Weight: 109 grams. The iPhone 6 concept also packs a 600 dpi pixel density fingerprint sensor and iOS 7.2 software with features including quick reply and password/Touch ID for app access.
Casabo also opted for the rumored larger display size, adding a 4.7-inch screen with 1920x1080 pixel resolution and Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, the concept includes an Apple A8 chip, Quad-core 1.2GHz CPU, PowerVR G6630 GPU and a non-removable Li-Po 1930 mAH battery.

Could iPhone users finally get NFC this May?
A recent Apple patent filing suggests the upcoming iPhone 6 could finally include the feature, which has debuted on many Android, Blackberry and Windows Phone devices in the past year. The smartphone payment integration patent is one of two that Apple filed for, according to Geek.
The new patent focuses on mobile payments, where NFC would be used through Apple's Passbook, which already allows users to store cards and tickets digitally.
The inclusion of NFC would appear more likely if the next iPhone is indeed dubbed the 6, as it would feature an updated hardware design that could support the NFC chip, Geek reports.

According to a new report by research firm DisplaySearch, the iPhone 6 will also switch up its look and take on the phablet competition with two model options—4.7 inches and 5.5 inches.
The next-generation Apple flagship has been largely rumored to be Apple's first bout with the 'phablet' competition, but by offering two models, it would appear the Cupertino-based tech giant is still offering a bit of variety for consumers who may not want a phone with a large display size.
According to DisplaySearch's research, the 4.7-inch model will come with 1600×900 resolution, 386ppi and LTPS TFT LCD display technology, while the 5.5-inch model will launch with 1920×1080 resolution at 401 PPI and the same display technology.
Apple will release the iPhone 6, in May and a large tablet, the iPad Max, in October, according to a new report by Digitimes.
The report cites "sources from the upstream supply chain," which told the website that Apple's China Mobile deal has made it apparent that the Cupertino-based company needs to unveil a phablet-sized smartphone to compete with Samsung in the Asian market. The release of the iPhone 6 would also help make the iPhone 5C more "affordable and attractive" to the Chinese market, where it has been a disappointment for its higher-than-expected price, Forbes reports.
Digitimes adds that the 12.9-inch iPad Max will release in the fall "targeting North America's educational market [and]... manufactured by Quanta Computer." The tablet would arrive as a competitor to Samsung's rumored 12 to 13-inch tablet and feature new cases with integrated keyboards and batteries, according to the report. The iPad Max will be best-suited for high school and college students that require a tablet that can 'do work,' Forbes reports.

The iPhone 6 is being tabbed at just 6mm thick, which would make the smartphone a full 1.6mm thinner than the iPhone 5S, which is already lauded for being one of the market's thinnest high-end smartphones. The ET News report dubs the next-generation iPhone the 'iPhone Air,' which certainly seems like a possibility given Apple's recent name change for the latest full-size iPad.

The report sources Foxconn, the group which makes the iPhone for Apple. These insiders have revealed to the publication that iPhone 6 production will be split between two models—a 4.7-inch variant and a 5.7-inch option; adding that the 5.7-inch model could even end up being bigger than 5.7 inches.
Both models are rumored to come with at least "one form of biometrics, which could include fingerprint or eye recognition," GSM Arena reports.
It has been widely speculated for months that Apple would release two iPhones in 2014, though it has also been reported that they would be two completely different models rather than the same phone in different sizes.
