Honda CR-V 2017 Considered More Popular Choice Compared To This Sleeper Hit From Manufacturer

The Honda CR-V 2017 is certainly making good sales compared to other models, but one less-popular vehicle is considered by much as even better. It's no secret that the CR-V is a big hit, contributing to a lot of Honda's recent sales.

As a matter of fact, the Honda CR-V 2017 had significantly increased sales within the past month, topping the Civic, Accord, and HR-V. According to ColumbusBusinessFirst, Honda's CR-V sales spiked into the double-digits while the Civic sales and Accord sales dropped to 2.4 percent and 9 percent, respectively.

The latest Honda CR-V 2017 model had a wealth of new additions including more space and more tech inside the vehicle. While Honda is evidently focusing their production on the CR-V, other sleeper-hit models are given less attention.

One fan-favorite model, in particular, that doesn't get as much credit is the Honda Element. The Element was released back in 2003 and was unfortunately discontinued in 2011.

Although the Element might not exactly have an attractive design, it's functionality makes up for its lack of visual appeal. Despite its awkward design, the Element shines through its interior features.

According to Core77, the Element has very spacious interiors with seats that can lay completely flat. Unlike the Honda CR-V 2017, the Element's seats can be used as a bed or a sofa aside from its primary sitting functionality.

On top of that, the Honda Element was also marketed as a dog-friendly vehicle. As a matter of fact, the Element even won a "Dog Car of the Year" award back in 2007. The interior of the Element has amenities that would not only cater human's but man's best friend as well.

While the Honda CR-V 2017 might be the more popular model, it isn't as versatile as the Element. Of course, the Element has its own fan-base as well. The source mentioned that there was even a point where a used Element was sold at a price that's higher than its original due to its massive demand.

Regardless, Honda's focus on the updating its more popular line-ups has led to the demise of the Element. It was even rumored that the Honda CR-V 2017 was prioritized in lieu of the Element, as the manufacturer's flag-bearer in the SUV department.
