Tinder’s Got a Secret App That’s Can Only Be Accessed by the Rich, Famous and Beautiful

The popular dating app, Tinder, is reported to have a secret invite-only app called “Tinder Select”. The secret version is not accessible to just anyone but only to people classified as rich, beautiful and famous. And one way for a person to be invited is if they have a good ELO score.

Although Tinder has yet to comment on the rumor, an unnamed source said the secret app is only for celebrities and individuals who are doing really good on Tinder, according to a report by TechCrunch. The exact criteria have not yet been determined but a user will know when they are eligible when they get an S icon at the top of their screen.

According to Telegraph, the app’s algorithm determines whether an individual should be invited to the secret app based on the number of people they match with, the scores the person they match with and how often the person uses the app.

Another way for a person to gain access to the secret app is to be nominated by other people already using the app. Tinder will then check the nomination and will have the final say whether the person can be accepted on “Tinder Select”.

The invite-only version of Tinder is said to have a more slick design compared to the one that’s available to the public according to The Verge. Its users are also given the privilege to flick between two. The app is said to have existed for months now as a Reddit user has already posted screenshots for at least 5 months now.

Tinder is a social search app for mobile phones that was first launched in 2012. It is a swiping app wherein a user does swipe actions to their smartphone to choose from photos of different users. Swiping left means the person want to see other photos while swiping right means the person finds the person in the photo attractive. As of 2014, the app already recorded one billion swipes on a daily basis.
