Huawei P10 Confirmed to Come with Iris Scanner and Dual Camera; Is It Worth Buying?
Huawei P10 is confirmed to come with a dual camera and iris scanner as revealed in the short trailer released by the company. the new model was supposed to be officially released at the Mobile World Congress on Feb. 26 but aside from the trailer, leaks from its retailer listing has already been circulating online.
In the 20-second trailer released on YouTube, Tech Radar reports Huawei gave a sneak peek of P10’s new features that will surely impress mobile phone users. The teaser comes with a tagline “Change the way you see the world” and images of eyes suggests the new mobile phone will come with a dual-lens rear camera and iris scanner.
The new smartphone also had leaked specs from its retailer listing which indicates it is equipped with 8GB of RAM and a huge 512GB internal storage according to Droid Life. If this information is true, the new spec is a big upgrade from its predecessor, Huawei P9, with only 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The phone is reported to be introduced at $850 which many are saying is too expensive.
When comparing its cost to the rumored price of iPhone 8, it is actually a lot cheaper. However, it cannot be fully determined whether the unit is worth buying unless its complete specification is revealed. The good news is that its complete information will come in MWC 2017 which is less than 2 weeks from today.
In other news, it was also announced that Huawei Watch 2 will be up for show before the month ends. A trailer for the watch has also been released and this time it was posted on Weibo. The new smartwatch is said to have features that focus on fitness and athletics but not much for fashion. It's possible the smartwatch will have a retail price of $800 which almost cost the same as the Huawei P10.
